The Russian Museum has been realising the English version of the “Russian Museum. Augmented Reality” project since 2013. The project is financially supported by the sponsors of the museum - Joint-Stock Financial Corporation “Sistema” and Joint Stock Company “Mobile TeleSystems”. Augmented Reality is a up-to-date technology enabling users to expand their perception of reality by using virtual elements. With the help of a mobile phone's camera and special software to read QR codes, the user can see the reality and read further information on the screen of the phone, which is stored for each of the objects.
